Read MoreThe stock markets around the globe have been absolutely battered. While the US is down over 43%, most foreign markets are off over 50-80% from their highs….just brutal…and amazingly fast. We’re looking at something like $10 trillion in global market losses in just the last couple of months.
Read MoreJust a follow-up to this mornings update. Beginning tomorrow we will begin to see coordinated rate cuts globally, and the US FED will aggressively drop lending rates to approximately 1%....or an all-time low.
Read MoreRight in front of our eyes we are witnessing the most serious threat to our financial system in 70 years, and anyone that tells you that it’s almost over is either guessing or just hoping. I’ll go so far as to say that I believe CNBC will face a huge class action lawsuit in the coming days and weeks,
Read MoreSo...will this finally be the blow off? The 1000 point down Friday, followed by another black Monday? It sure looks like it and as I've been writing, this will get very ugly before its all over. I would not be surprised to see some real panic finally start to set in.
Read MoreToday, before Congress, God, and everybody, our old buddy Alan Greenspan will be speaking about subprime lending, the debt crisis and the resulting recession. And more specifically, about his role in it. Greenspan, the Federal Reserve Chairman under Bush, Clinton,
Read MoreMany of us experienced the inaugural m3 together. No doubt about it…one of the best experiences of a lifetime. Hungary is a truly beautiful country that has rebuilt itself, time and time again, from more wars than most can even remember.
Read MoreAnyone watching CNBC, and listening to their advice, is getting their heads handed to them in this market. They are doing everything they can to be positive and "talk the market higher" and of course they are dead wrong. This recession is going to be the worst of our lifetime and 99% of the population is not prepared for it.
Read MoreHow time flys...the older I get the faster that clock ticks. Remember when you were a kid and it seemed to take forever for that school bell to ring at 3? I guess this means that we just have to take advantage of every waking moment. I like that game plan.
Read MoreI woke up this morning to CNBC and more negative earnings results, and thought back to my days as a financial advisor and venture capitalist. Its never been more difficult for the average person to invest in the stock market and don't look for that to change anytime soon. People are waking up to the reality of this economic crisis and wondering if they should get out,
Read MoreAs you know from my posts of the last couple of months I believe the stock market is going to be a tough place to be for some time. Bear market rallies can be very powerful, and can even retrace 50% of their losses. However, I very much doubt that this will be the case in this particular bear.
Read MoreThe announcements coming from the US, and global governments, clearly indicate that they will do ANYTHING to avoid a global economic meltdown. This includes “forcing” the largest banks and financial institutions in the US to take billions upon billions of dollars via government equity stakes.
Read MoreThe founder of Chesapeake Energy, Aubrey McLendon, was today forced to sellall of his shares today..margin calls..he had bought stock all the way up to$90.on margin.and now he's wiped out in less than a week. The stock closedat $16 today.
Read MoreI’m writing this because I want you to be as prepared as possible for what is coming. The following views are my personal opinions on what I see happening. Confidence in the system has been lost. What we’ve seen so far is just the beginning, and it truly makes me sad to have to write this.

Good Thursday morning. Our 3-day streak of solid gains will be challenged today on the back of Google’s earnings miss last night. GOOGL is trading down 11% on the news. Microsofts beat hasn’t been enough to offset it (MSFT +2%).
Once again…
Good Thursday morning. Here we go again..and it’s the exact point that the president has made often…good economic news is perceived as bad news for the stock market.
With multiple economic data points released yesterday, broad-based acceleration in the economy...
Good Friday morning.
I have posted this VRA Letter each 9/11 since 2006 (updated only with relevant facts), when my research and due diligence made it no longer possible to remain silent.
Today marks a somber 25 years since September 11, 2001.
Good Thursday morning. In chart after chart we see the same thing; following recent ATH’s in each of our major indexes, significant coiling has been taking place underneath the surface. “Coiling” represents the markets waiting on a near term catalyst(s) that will either extend the primary trend (higher), or potentially signal further consolidation may be required first.
Good Friday morning. Before we get to today’s Letter, there is one important point to remember: we are still extraordinarily early in this bull market. The permabears that like to fear monger us into being tempted to remove money from the markets should be actively ignored and avoided…
Good Friday morning. Breaking: the jobs report for April is in and it’s another beat to the upside. 117,000 jobs were created, beating the estimate of 65,000, with private payrolls almost doubling previous estimates. The unemployment rate stays unchanged at 4.3%. For a comp, take a look north at our neighbor Canada, which just reported a miserable unemployment rate of 6.9%…
Good Thursday morning. We’re seeing important technical and fundamental…and yes, contrarian indicators that point to a near-term “sharp” move higher in the markets and a continuation of this generational bull market. Our call from Monday was that the Monday lows would be THE lows and on a closing basis…
Good Thursday morning.
For our newer VRA readers, welcome….it’s great having you with us. We encourage you to stay locked in over the months and years to come, as we continue on our mission to “Crush Mr. Market”.
Good Thursday morning.
Brief recap of where things stand with the VRA Investing System. Based on the lessons learned from my mentors (Ted Parson, Underwood Neuhaus and Michael Metz, Oppenheimer) I’ve spent the last 40 years building the VRA System. The VRA Investing System is made up of 12 screens, 70% fundamental and 30% technical. ..
Good Thursday morning. Following yesterdays strong jobs data and solid open we had a mid-day shakeout that took the markets from 1% higher to 1% lower, in fairly short order…
Good Thursday morning. We’d like to welcome our new VRA Readers that have joined us recently, many of which have come to us through our TV work with Wayne Allyn Root, Grant Stinchfield and Charles Payne, three American patriots that we are proud to call friends…
Good Thursday afternoon. I was going to do a deep dive on yesterday’s Fed meeting and presser with J Powell, but frankly, it’s not worth our time and energy…
Good Thursday morning. Breaking: Final Q3 GDP is in with growth of 4.4% vs estimates of 4.3%. Beginning last summer we were the first strategists in America (that we are aware of) that began forecasting GDP growth would surpass 5% by Q3 2026. With the Atlanta Fed’s Q4 GDPNow estimate of 5.4% growth, it looks like the Trump Economic Miracle will beat our GDP estimates to the punch.
Good Thursday morning. As we’ve covered extensively over the last 3 years, we have entered a “structural” bull market that will carry US stocks sharply higher through at least 2030. The Roaring 2020’s combined with our "Big 3”…
Good Thursday morning. Before we get to the latest market moving news, here are our full year returns for 2025, and what you can expect from the VRA in 2026.
Good Friday morning. Over the last couple of weeks we’ve talked about the reasons for this short term liquidity-led shakeout, including yesterdays massive intraday reversal which began exactly as (fired) Fed Governor Lisa Cook was giving a speech where she warned extensively of a “sharp market reversal” (In no way do I believe this was a coincidence). However, what’s more important this morning is covering where we are and what comes next.
Good Friday morning. Heads up: I’m scheduled to be on ‘Making Money with Charles Payne’ in the 2PM EST hour. Hope you can join us.
Market Update…
Good Friday morning. Today we’ll cover some of the “chinks in the armor, of this market, then we’ll get to the government shutdown, and finally we will wrap the week with the markets and economy…
Heads up; I’m scheduled to be on Fox Business “Making Money with Charles Payne” in the 2PM EST hour. Hope you can join in (I’ll post the exact time on X).
